Illawarra Highland Trip

I'm staying lazily in Wollongong.... haha, never been farther than Sydney. It's famous destination for almost everyone here.
I used 2 weeks to find accommodation and finally found a lovely house near North Wollongong station.
It's already 2 months now... I bought new desktop computer and stage keyboard.. lots of stuff in my room.

I did a surf lesson last month. It was so fun but I can't jump on the surf board yet.. I got cramp on my leg that day.. unfortunately.
Just last Saturday I got chance to go highland trip with university. I won't write long.. still lazy and many works to do. Just post pics.

We went to:

Illawarra Fly / Treetop walk - park with great scenaric and high walk way

Fitzroy Falls - a big fall.. I love it.. but we stopped there too short time

Nowra Wildlife Park - first time see koala and kangaroo of this stay :D

Normally I don't like to buy tour package or trip like tourism.. stop there, take photo, then get in the bus..
This one is just a cheap trip by uni and I won't go there by myself anyway (so far away, gonna cost a lot lol)
It's okay for $55 - one day in 3 different places... ah.. have to back to work

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010

I went to the northern of Thailand on the first week of this year. Again, air ticket reserved as mileage redemption
with no more itenerary than starting trip at Chiang Rai, and ending at Chiang Mai.. spend 3 or 4 days

and cross to shopping at Myanmar side. I try lots of northern foods, they are so nice!! I heard northern language
along the way so try to speak a bit like them.. 'chao', 'sao baht', ...

Lonely Trip to Nakhon Nayok

After 2 weeks of work, I can't just stay in Bangkok.. get up in late afternoon.. teach piano, meet customer,
go to Central World.. back home and do works..  like this everyday!! I decided on Saturday to go
somewhere on my free time during Sun-Mon. That evening I went to have
BBQ & Sangsom + Blue Label party at Mile's home, came back at midnight and did work till 5am,
take a sleep and get up at 9. It's time to start tripping.

The van service at Victory Monument is very useful. There's no direct van to Nakhon Nayok.
I just have to change at Rangsit. It took 2 hour and a half to arrive at Sida Resort, near Khun-Dahn barrage..
The driver was so kind, he dropped me inside the resort. I knew this place from website
http://www.sida-resort.com/ It's crazy spacious! around 400 rai (1000 acre).

I checked-in, had lunch, rent a bike, and ride to the barrage. There're few kayaking services.
I walked in and ask to join the rafting with other group but that sounds not so fun then I took it alone,
hired staff to row for me.

My activities 15-16 November 2009

Saturday
14.00hr check-in & have lunch
15.00hr ride a bike to barrage
16.00hr water rafting
18.00hr back to resort, take shower
18.30hr have dinner
19.30hr stay in the room.. sleep ZzzzZ

Sunday
2.00hr get up cause of hunger T__T cannot sleep anymore
6.00hr sunrise.. take a walk around resort
8.00hr have breakfast
9.00hr go to top of the barrage
10.00hr back to the resort, ride a motorbike around
11.00hr ride a bike to Nangrong waterfall
13.00hr back to resort, have lunch and back to Bangkok

The resort did good Thai taste but awful internation foods :{

Nangrong waterfall is quite small... really.. much smaller than I thought. The weather in the morning
is so good.. around 24 degree celcius.. few fogs. At noon is not so hot but my clothes made me
much sweaty.. On the way riding to the falls, I was so much tired even it's just a kilometre.
Maybe the bike is pretty old.. I thought that but actually realized that nothing's wrong
with the bike... it's my eyes.. I didn't have to pedal even once on the way back to resort.. yeah .. it's slope ><

I got some bruise from this trip, all at my legs.. from the truck, from the motorbike (here is my first try! ),
and from bugs lol. I felt not so lonely cause it's just 2 days but it's better to get here with lots of
friends anyway.. also be a good choice for 1-day-trip, just few hours from Bangkok.

I went to Siam Paragon and Central world on that evening.. before go back home. There's lot more photos on my facebook,
see http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=120347&id=790899799&l=98490235af

If you know me, please kindly leave a comment or sign me the guest book :)

KOH LARN 25-26 SEPTEMBER 2009

It's a short trip with my 2 close friends from school. We know each other since we were in primary 3.
Our destination is somewhere with coral and divable. We know, Koh Larn is the nearest place ..
I've just been there last April .. but no other choice. We took bus from Victory Monument, takes around 2 hours..
then walked in to a hotel at South Pattaya, New Day-Night Hotel, very cheap but not so good in services.
We went to Bali Hai Pier and hire a speed boat to the island. It took just 15 minutes. We had no lunch yet
but decided to start snorkelling right then.

The 'Thong Lang' beach is good, very quiet and still fertile. Like the sea is ours .. cause it's not a public beach
and it's Friday. My friend brought 2 snorkel masks but there're three of us. So I bought a new one..
we rent the fins .. which was my biggest problem.. there's no size that fit me. I ended up with cramp.
My friends have to drag me around. Fortunately, I already took many photos underwater for them.

Pirada came back Bangkok on that night, she had Hua-Hin trip on early morning next day.
I and Jaan went for a dinner on Oriental Star. It's a restaurant on the ship. We have to ride safari car
and speed boat to get there. Those services were free. The restaurant was very nice.

We back to Pattaya coast and take a walk at Walking Street, spent such a short time.. then went back
to the hotel.. really tired. Next morning I asked Jaan to teach me swim in the pool.
I'm still motivated by diving... wanna swim and take scuba course within this year !!

Jaan wrote on her blog about this same trip, in Thai. see http://jaan.exteen.com/20090929/entry
I back to Bangkok and went to Shar's home. She has to fly on that night.. to England.. So I came to say good bye
before went back to my home and took a long sleep around 28 hours.. exhausted from sun burn ><

I went to Phuket alone for 4 days...  It's one of short trips in my private August's vacation.
I set everything up at end of July, air ticket was reserved immediately on 31st June
before miles on Royal Orchid Plus(Thai Airways mileage program) get expired. (This's origin of my trip again)
So I still behave unthoughtfulness, indeed.

I researched and booked some 1-day-trip tour as I read that Phuket's taxi is triple price of what it is in Bangkok.
I won't waste time and money for those cabs but sometimes want to use their regular public transportations..
to try how local live and travel. It'd take longer time but absolutely cheap.

Nemo (clown fish) in the sea - Koh Khai Nui Ranya under the sea - Koh Khai Nok

It's my first time diving.. By the way, I haven't try alone.. the speed boat captain help me to get around
and take pics on first snorkelling.., in deep water. Then when I went to Khai Nai Beach, it's shallow
I can got by myself.. Unfortunately we didn't back to the deep one again T__T

My camera is waterproof. So it's fun having camera while enjoy the sea.
Some place doesn't allow camera.. so regretfully eg. museam at Phra Thong Temple,
there are many interesting item.. such as opium piping pillow, grand-Chinese 1-pillow-1-mat,
red noblewoman shoes, original antique television.

Every one I spoke to has been wondered why I went there alone. There's no reason and hard to descript
my history in short time, so I joked that I got no friend. Of course, they wouldn't believe and ask me the real reason again.
I don't think travelling alone is such weird.. I'm not asocial but willing to go anywhere even if there's no friend come along.
Loneliness is not too bad.. you can get lots of new friends out there.. just say hi.. and have a talk.

Islands - be seen during my flight to Phuket Ranya - Elephant trekking at Island Safari Ranya - in canoe at Koh Pha Nak
Ranya at James Bond Island Ranya at Koh Khai Nai Ranya at Phuket FantaSea

See hotel website www.sugarpalmphuket.com Phuket package tour www.tourtalay.com taxi service www.phuketmadeeasy.com

I spent a total of 13k THB for this trip included all expenses, transportations and tax.
My holidays then ended and I have to go back to work.. but not so soon..
my laziness often win my willing to start new work. I want new plan for diving.. stuck with it now ah.. =__=
